FLINTA Participation in the Brussels Games

The Brussels Games are much more than just a sports event. We are firmly committed to ensuring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for everyone, including FLINTA (Women, Lesbians, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, Asexual individuals).

Measures to Encourage FLINTA Participation

1. Discounted Registration Fees for FLINTA

   At BGS, we believe that sports are for everyone—without exception and without financial barriers. That’s why we offer a 15% discount on registration fees for all FLINTA participants. Because inclusivity also starts with accessibility!

2. Reserved Spots for FLINTA

   To ensure strong FLINTA representation, we reserve a percentage of spots for this part of the community until June 15: 30% of teams for team sports and 30% of spots for individual sports. After this deadline, all remaining spots will be open to everyone, including those on the waiting list, based on priority order.

3. Inclusive Changing Rooms and Showers: A Priority

   Respecting gender identity is a fundamental commitment for us. To ensure a welcoming and secure environment for FLINTA individuals, we will implement gender-neutral changing rooms and showers whenever possible. When infrastructure does not allow for this setup, reserved time slots will be provided to create a safer space. No one should have to give up participating in a sports event due to concerns about privacy or identity respect.

4. FLINTA Pre-Party

   Before the big closing party, we’re organizing something special: a 100% FLINTA pre-party! A safe space where we can connect, relax, and get ready to enjoy an incredible weekend finale together. Because there’s nothing better than starting the celebration with our own moment!

5. Feedback and Continuous Improvement

   After the event, we want to hear about YOUR experience! We will conduct a satisfaction survey to collect participant feedback. Our goal is to make each edition of the Brussels Games even more inclusive—and to do that, we need to listen to you. Together, we keep improving!

Outreach Program

The Outreach Program is an initiative supported by Brussels Gay Sports (BGS), aimed at helping more people from countries where the LGBT+ community faces discrimination participate in the Brussels Games.

If you would like to contribute to this program and offer these individuals a moment of tolerance and openness during an unforgettable weekend, you can make a donation (any amount) when registering for the Brussels Games. How to benefit from the Outreach Program?

If you wish to receive support, here’s the procedure:

1. Register for the Brussels Games via the registration form. In the Outreach section, mention that you would like to benefit from the program.
2. The organizers will follow up with you regarding your request.

We will do our best to accommodate requests, but available spots are limited. We kindly ask that you only apply if you truly need support.
